The aim of the Ballinderry River Enhancement Association is
to
‘Restore the Ballinderry River to its former greatness’.
Working in partnership with local landowners, interest groups and statutory agencies, our work includes:
• restoring the health of the river by improving water quality and habitat
• conserving locally and globally threatened freshwater species
• undertaking research to further our understanding of the river
• improving recreation and access opportunities along the river
• educating the community on the importance of the river environment
The Ballinderry River Enhancement Association runs a not-for-profit community business called Ballinderry Fish Hatchery Ltd which helps the charity fulfil its aims for the river.
